In October of 2007 we were seeking God about the coming new year, we knew there was something we needed to do but we weren't sure what it was. Then God spoke to our hearts about renting a building up town for the purpose of holding a New Year's Eve service followed by a revival and the formation of a new church when we closed the revival. Gayle and I began work on renting a building and October became November then December and we still hadn't received an answer from the building owners, finally the third week of December we were notified that we could use the building, not just for one week but for the whole month of January, at no charge! We began the revival on January 1, 2008 and held services for 11 nights. At rhe end of the revival, I was a little discouraged because everyone who attended the revival was a member of a church already. We hadn't seen but 1 unchurched person during the revival, but we did get to lead him to Jesus.
We decided not to start a church but to try to attend another church which we thought we could be of some help to. This is when we found out that we had missed God by not starting a new church. After trying for several days to change the Lord's mind, we decided to be obedient to God and February 17th 2008 we held our first services as Jubilee Church of De Queen. There was only 1 person there beside myself, as my wife Gayle, was sick that morning, but God was there and we had church! Since that time we have slowly grown and now we have @ 10 for most services. We know that we are doing what God has called us to do and we will continue to do so until God tells us differently. It is truly a blessing to be here building this church and watching the hand of God move in people's lives. We are believing God for a Holy Ghost revival to start right here in De Queen, Arkansas and impact the whole world.
